AP Testing
AP Testing is the first two full weeks of May. Any student who is enrolled in an AP class at Tri-Valley can sign up to take the test for their AP Class. By taking the AP test, students have the potential to earn college credit, depending on the university they enroll in and the score they earn. AP tests are scored out of five. A score of a 3, 4 or 5 will typically earn a student college credit. Each college has an AP page, which lists what scores give credit earned for each test. Students who take the AP test also earn a weighted grade toward their GPA. For the first time, all AP tests given in 2024 will be digital tests.
The current fee for AP tests are $97, that fee is set by the College Board and can increase from year to year.
